GL 108 Guidelines for Proper Cooling of Milk on Dairy Farms

This guideline provides information pertaining to methods and equipment for cooling milk on the farm. Recommendations are included as aids in selecting equipment and maintaining cooling systems, including precoolers. Pertinent regulations and state recommendations are presented for reference. Emphasis is placed on auxiliary equipment and/or operations which produce high quality milk while saving energy. Definitions of useful terms are in the Appendix
