GUIDELINE 18 Fieldperson's Guide to Troubleshooting High Somatic Cell Counts briefly discusses the significance of the problem of high somatic cell count (abnormal milk) and gives instructions to dairy fieldperson concerning an appropriate procedure to follow to assist dairy producers with high somatic cell count problems in the herds or flocks. This guideline is written so that it will be useful for cow, goat and sheep dairies. Also included in the appendix are the contact people for the mastitis control programs in DPC member states.
