This guideline provides a practical discussion, and working resource for dairy farmers and industry persons who are involved in working with non-electric Amish farms. The term non-electric simply means that no power is brought onto the farm from the local power company. Electrical power including 12 volt DC electric or 110-120 volt AC is generated on the farm using a diesel or gasoline engine.
