About the Dairy Practices Council
DPC is a non profit organization of education, industry and regulatory personnel concerned with milk quality, sanitation and regulatory uniformity.
We write guidelines that contain practical, timely information about sanitation, procedures, and general good practices that relate to the dairy farm and dairy manufacturing facilities. Before publication, the DPC guidelines go through a rigorous peer review process to ensure that the content of each guideline is up-to-date, and complies with our member states, and US federal dairy regulations.
The DPC has six Task Forces that are charged with writing and reviewing guidelines. These Task Forces are comprised of DPC members who are considered expert in their field. Each Task Force meets at the Annual Conference, and through collaboration, writes new guidelines. Also, existing guidelines are periodically reviewed to be sure they contain current technology and still meet the needs of the dairy industry.
